Crescent Business Update
Leuven, February 12, 2021 – 7h30 CET – CRESCENT NV (Euronext Brussels: OPTI), Crescent today announces that it has developed and sold Lora based sensors and gateways for leak detection and valve control to GreenField Direct LLC (US).
This integrated IoT solution enables its customer to do leak detection and remote valve control in “high-rise” buildings aimed at preventing flooding while taking preventive action when water leaks are detected.
The value of the project is expected to exceed 1,5M€ in 2021.
Crescent further announces that it anticipates its operational results for 2020 to be very similar to those obtained in 2019 albeit with slightly better Ebitda contributions and despite substantial COVID-19 related delays and postponements of several projects.
Finally, Crescent announces the sale of its UEST venture to Van Zele Holding NV thereby reducing the financial debt burden on its balance sheet by 450.000 EUR. The latter divestment is part of an increased strategic focus on smart city and industrial markets and applications.
