Crescent/Remoticom announce expansion of its Smart City solutions into Eastern Europe

Leuven, Belgium – May 27, 2022 – 18h00 CET, Crescent NV, (Euronext Brussels: OPTI) announces the expansion of Remoticom BV’s Smart Lighting Solutions into Eastern Europe.

Post the successful deployment of some 10,000 ZSC150 Lighting controllers in the city of Skopje Remoticom now aims to capitalize on this rapidly emerging opportunity through an increased presence in eastern Europe. This advanced IOT system was realized in collaboration with Verso Altimo, a Croatia-based internationally renowned integrator and operator Makedonski Telekom. The energy-efficient, sustainable and future-proof Smart City Solution is based on a modular design that offers the possibility of activating several relevant IOT verticals such as for Smart Lighting, Air Quality monitoring, Smart Water Solutions, Security and Crowd Monitoring.

Municipal bodies have responsibility of providing appropriate lighting levels in the city while, keeping energy costs to a minimum. With lighting accounting for a large portion of a city’s total energy consumption, the need for cost-effective and sustainable options is crucial. Simply switching to LED lighting can result in electricity savings of up to 50 to 60 percent, and by adding Remoticom’s smart lighting control systems, the overall energy savings can go up to 80 percent.

Remoticom’s expansion into the Eastern European region will initially target key municipalities across Northern Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland. Crescent believes that similar deployments will soon follow suite in Western Europe.

Crescent NV hereby reaffirms that despite severe ongoing supply chain shortages the company remains on track to deliver better than 20% growth during the first semester of 2022 at improving levels of profitability. Moreover, since incoming orders have continued to exceed Crescent’s ability to fill the demand during the first semester of 2022, we remain optimistic about a year end outlook of better than 25% annualized growth.
